Frequently asked questions
What drywall finish level do I need?
Utility spaces may accept a lower finish, while typical painted interiors commonly use Level 4. Strong side lighting, glossy paint or critical surfaces may justify Level 5.
How many drywall sheets are required?
Divide gross surface area by the panel coverage, then adjust for layout, openings and waste. Panel orientation and available lengths affect seams and labor, so sheet count alone does not determine installed cost.
Does demolition cost extra?
Usually. Demolition adds protection, dust control, fastener removal, hauling and disposal, and may expose insulation, wiring or water damage requiring separate work.
